This turreted stone castle is a romantic wedding venue in Tuscany. With its imposing structure, the castle rests upon a gentle hill, in the heart of Tuscany close to the ancient city of Siena. In the hills surrounding the castle, Sangiovese grapes are grown in the Chianti Classico region–as well as white wine and Prosecco, perfect for your wedding toast.
There are many options at this breathtaking venue for celebrating your wedding. There is a large banqueting room able to hold 250 people that is adorned with frescoes. Another reception room is available that can hold 150 people, it is decorated in a typical rustic Tuscan style. Alternatively, there is also the beautiful ballroom or the extensive gardens that are at your disposal to celebrate your wedding ceremony or reception.
There is a small and private chapel on the property which is able to seat 20 people and it is ideal for a symbolic or religious wedding. For larger parties, there are various Romanesque churches located as little as 2km away. For civil wedding ceremonies, the closest town hall in Chianti is only a few kilometres away and the amazing Piazza del Campo lies only 20km’s away from the Castle.
Castello Massi is the ideal villa for a wedding as it offers several options for accommodation. It can accommodate up to 60 people in double rooms (22 extra beds). The rooms are tastefully decorated with antiques and feature terracotta tiles and exposed beam ceilings.
There are also two private pools overlooking the vineyards to enjoy, beautiful gardens to discover and you can spend some time enjoying the 18th-century paintings and frescoes found throughout the castle. The traditional Tuscan garden is suitable for al fresco dinner or dancing. There is an excellent restaurant on the property and an underground wine cellar to enjoy as well as guided tours of the castle.
